Copec is currently negotiating to purchase fuel service stations from Cencosud and add the sites to the Terpel Columbia network, according to local media.
Cencosud has been seeking a buyer for the 42 fuel service stations since their acquisition along with other Carrefour Columbia assets. The assets, if successfully acquired, would take on the Terpel brand, according to the reports.
Terpel has a market presence of over 2,000 fuel service stations, and expects to add a further 20. The company sold 423m gallons of fuel during the first quarter of the year, a 5% year-on-year increase.
