USA: Exxon Mobil Reports Q3 Profits

Exxon Mobil has reported a third-quarter profit of $10.33bn, marking the company’s third consecutive quarter where earnings exceeded the $10bn mark. Overall earnings were up 41% on the same period last year, with downstream earnings up $419m to $1.579bn.
The greatest share of downstream profits came from the United States, with earnings of $810m marking a major increase on last year’s figure of $646m Foreign downstream earnings were $227 than last year at $769m. Overall sales of petroleum products fell to 6,558 kbd, 37 kbd lower than last year's third quarter.
