Total Names New VP on Investor Relations

Total has shuffled its management team, moving Vice-President of Investor Relations Bertrand de La Noue to become General Representative for Total in China, and appointing Martin Deffontaines to the role. Deffontaines comes to the position from the Strategy Business Development R&D Division, where he served as Vice President of Strategy since 2010.
Deffontaines is a total veteran, having begun his career in the Exploration & Production section as a project engineer. He acted as Field Manager in Russia and Africa, moving to become Negotiator in the Department of New Ventures and Asset Management. He was also appointed as Managing Director of Total E&P Yemen in 2008.
