Tammermatic Oy, a manufacturer of car and heavy vehicle washing
equipment based in Finland, and InterClean Equipment, Inc, a
manufacturer of heavy, industrial and custom-designed specialty vehicle
washing equipment based in Michigan, USA, have merged to form the
Tammermatic InterClean Group.
The creation of the Tammermatic Interclean Group is driven by a
common goal of becoming the leading world expert in the washing of
cars, heavy-duty and industrial vehicles, and speciality wash
applications. To date, InterClean Equipment, Inc. has operated
primarily in North and South America, while Tammermatic’s primary
market areas have been Europe and Russia.
“The Tammermatic InterClean Group companies complement each other in
terms of their technological expertise as well as their existing
geographic footprints. We plan to leverage the respective
strengths and expertise of each Company to enable us to grow and
expand. In heavy vehicle washing, the Tammermatic InterClean
Group will become the only company to genuinely operate on a global
scale,” Group CEO Matti Sippola. Both companies are profitable
growth companies.
Tammermatic InterClean Group’s net sales in the current financial year
will be around EUR 30 million [$45 million for US version of press
release]. The goal is to double net sales within 3-5 years. The Group
companies collectively employ approximately 150 people.
In addition to their core vehicle wash system business, Tammermatic
InterClean Group has strong expertise in other vehicle wash related
business areas, such as cleaning chemicals and after-sales support
services. The Tammermatic InterClean Group plans to also further
expand these business areas in future.

parent company of Tammermatic Oy and InterClean Equipment, Inc.

InterClean Equipment, Inc., founded in 1984, designs and manufactures
washing equipment for heavy and industrial vehicles as well as
custom-designed applications. The company’s net sales are around
EUR 11 million and it has 50 employees. The company’s
headquarters and primary manufacturing facility is located in
Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA.
