Subway has announced plans to open 2,500 new outlets in 2012, building on its success in 2011, which saw 2,400 new locations open worldwide. The quick-service restaurant chain expects to add 25,00 full and part-time positions as a result of the expansion, which has been driven by opening outlets in non-traditional locations such as convenience stores and fuel service stations.
The Subway Chain, recently named as the number 2 overall franchise opportunity by Entrepreneur magazine, plans to expand its reach through franchising. With each new Subway restaurant that opens, there is an entrepreneur that wants to own and operate his own small business and provide great food, exceptional customer service and job opportunities in his or her community," said Chief Development Officer Don Fertman (pictured).
Subway, the fastest-growing franchise chain in the world, will be present at the forthcoming PetrolWorld APAC Business Forum from February 22 to 24 in Goa, India. Along with many other decision-makers from leading fuel brands and solutions providers, representatives of Subway will be sharing opportunities and insight in the relaxed atmosphere of the LaLiT Golf & Spa Resort in Goa.
