Last Februrary the International Carwash Association board of directors appointed
a 14-member Car Wash Market Assessment Task Force to assess the state of the buyer-seller marketplace in car care.
The results were reported to the board on 15th May and these woould
include recommendations which will be announced in due course.
The
committee was charged with gauging the current state of the carwash
equipment and supply market and examining the ICA’s strategy and role
in providing a viable marketplace.
“The task force was created in response to discussions with the
Exhibitor Show Advisory Committee regarding the changing sales and
distribution markets in the professional carwash and related car-care
industries,” said Neil Hitchcock, ICA president. “We must constantly be
assessing the marketplace and what the International Carwash
Association can do to provide the best possible marketplace for the
industry. Whatever solution is determined will require all parties
working together closely as partners. It will be the only way to
achieve successful results.”
“We have assembled a group of some of the brightest minds in the
carwash marketplace, people who really understand the forces at play
affecting the buying and selling of carwash equipment, products and
services,” said Mark Thorsby, executive director of the International
Carwash Association.
