Gilbarco Veeder-Root has announced the acquisition of ACIS, a major fuel service station construction and maintenance provider in Eastern Europe. The company has operations in Bosnia, Bulgaria, Crotia, Montenegro and Serbia. ACIS also sells and maintains fuel service station equipment and point of sale technology.
The deal, which is subject to approval by regulators, will bring ACIS’ team of some 280 employees (including over 170 engineers) under the Gilbarco network. “ACIS’ leading footprint and strong brand along with its high-quality team of employees across Central Eastern Europe will enable Gilbarco Veeder-Root to leverage its unique full-range product portfolio to optimal effect,” remarked Gilbarco Veeder-Root Europe’s President, Steve Moule. “The ability to obtain service station construction, equipment, maintenance and service from Gilbarco and ACIS as a single source will be of great value to our customers,” he added.
A statement from Gilbarco noted that ACIS will continue to operate from its Eastern European facilities, and that the current management team will remain in place during and after completion of the transaction.
