Gilbarco Veeder-Root has announced that production of its Horizon dispenser will move from Greensboro in the USA to Salzkotten in Germany. All Horizon dispensers will now be manufactured in Germany in the same production facility that manufactures the SK700-II.
In a statement, the company said that the change would enable it to deliver quality and consistency in the production process throughout the different dispenser models, minimum lead times, and stronger after-sales support for warranty and spare parts for European countries. The Horizon dispenser’s features include a H-frame compact and elegant design to fit on most fuel service stations, a polycarbonate electronics door centralising the user interface, and an improved nozzle boot in reinforced nylon for lasting use.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root has run quality assurance pilot tests across Europe and Russia to ensure the dispenser meets the company’s standards of quality and performance. Following these successful pilot installations in four countries, the Horizonis available to order in suction and pressure type configurations across Europe.
"The Horizon dispenser has been designed not only to deliver fuel efficiently and securely, but to really enhance the customer experience,” said Eric Denivelle, SSE Marketing Director for Europe. “The successful pilot tests we have run enforce the renowned production quality from our German factory, and our dedication to providing quality assured products."
