Fleetcor Acquires AllStar Business Solutions

FleetCor Technologies is to purchase UK fuel card and payment provider AllStar Business Solutions for £194 million. AllStar has around 40,000 customers , one million cardholders and is part of fleet and fuel management provider Arval UK. 

 FleetCor was set up in 2000 in the US and has since acquired a number of fuel card businesses in the UK. This includes KeyFuels, reseller The Fuelcard Company   and the fleet card operations of Retail Decisions. Fuel cards are given to employees so they do not have to pay for fuel out of their own money or with a company credit card. They also enable businesses to track spend and reduce costs.

In addition to the acquisition, FleetCor has agreed a five-year deal with Arval, which is owned by financial services firm BNP Paribas, to provide fuel card services to its customers as part of its fleet management deals. “This sale is a positive move for AllStar employees, partners and customers,” said Andrew Blayze, CEO of FleetCor Europe in a statement. “FleetCor brings global fuel card expertise, best practice and experience to AllStar, which, we believe, will enable us to improve the products and services available to its customers.”

Bart Beckers, general manager of Arval UK, said: “By working with [FleetCor] over the coming years, we expect our fuel management products and services to be enhanced further, which will benefit our customers.”
