The first Latin America Business Forum has been announced by PetrolWorld. The business forum will take place in São Paulo, Brazil the week of August 14th 2011.

The retail and commercial fuels market in Latin America has been going through immense change in recent times with cross border developments of regional and national brands in South America such as Copec and Terpel and Sol Petroleum and Cool Petroleum in the Caribbean.

The Brazilian fuels market has grown in size and stature with 14 refineries, 7100klms of pipeline and a network of 37,716 fuel service stations. It is the leading biofuels and ethanol market in the world.  In addition, some of the biggest oil discoveries in recent years have been discovered in Brazilian waters now pointing to huge developments in the downstream sector including fuel distribution and retail.

David Egan, President of PetrolWorld said: “When I visited Latin America and Brazil for the first time last year, I was struck by the fast rate of change and developments taking place. There is no doubt that the repositioning of the major oil companies has speeded up a new stage of international development and investment in Latin America.

We have been monitoring this market closely for the past five years and believe that now is the perfect time for PetrolWorld to enter this market by hosting one of its unique Business networking Forums.”
