Convenience retailer SavOn has said that it will be installing drive-through windows into four of its stores so that customers can pick up their goods as they go, without the need to shop in-store. The New York stores are located in Canastota, Oneida and Verona, the latter of which is trialling two, and operating their drive- throughs via kiosks separate to the stores. All of the new hatches will be open between 5am and 7pm.
“Drive-throughs are a level of convenience that is largely unexpected at convenience stores, but we believe it is a necessary step in the level of service we offer our guests. The pace of life is only getting faster and we need to make sure that we offer our guests the highest level of convenience we can to keep them on the go,” Sean Brown, SavOn Stores’ Operations Director said.
