week sees the final registrations for the forthcoming PetrolWorld
business meeting forum in Goa. This will be the 15th PetrolWorld forum
which will be held in the Intercontinental Lalit Resort in Goa between
22nd and 24th February. This will be the only PetrolWorld Forum to be
held in Asia this year.

Germany's largest interbank network and debit card service, GiroCard, has certified the Crypto VGA terminal developed by Tokheim. The first installation of a Crypto VGA system with GiroCard certification has been completed at a fuel service station in Ascheberg.

Bharat Petroleum led India's refiners in ramping up crude processing in December, marking the eleventh month in which refining activity increased nationwide during 2011. 14.8m metric tons of crude was processed into fuel products during the month, according to the Oil Ministry, a 0.8% increase on the same period in 2010.

BP Products North America has announced plans to invest $500m in its U.S. retail brand as part of an "aggressive" effort to regain its position as "the leading fuels marketer east of the Rockies". The campaign, unveiled at the 2012 BP Amoco Marketers Association (BPAMA) Convention and Business Expo in Orlando will include a fuel relaunch, a new marketing programme and new loyalty technology across the retail network.

Mac's convenience Stores has signed a new virtual private advertising network services deal with iSIGN Media Solutions, a provider of mobile interactive advertising solutions. The five-year agreement, with an option for another five years, also gives Mac's owner Couche-Tard the option to add 124 Circle K stores in eastern Canada to the network.
