The British Petrol Retailers Association is predicting that all
petrol pumps in the UK will shift to a pre-pay model as higher fuel
prices result in an increase in drive-off incidents.
Ron Holloway, Petrol Retailers' Association (PRA) director, has said
that the shift to the pre-pay model will depend on understanding the
relationship between the shop and forecourt sales.
PetrolWorld notes a general trend in different parts of the world from
North America to New Zealand where there has been the implementation of
pre pay as an solution to limit drive offs.
