Brulines Group plc, a provider of real time monitoring systems and data
management services for the UK leisure sector, is pleased to announce
the appointment of Phil Maud as Managing Director of Edenssure, the
Group’s Petrol Retail Services Division.
Phil has 15 years experience in Retail Forecourt Management,
including Morrisons Supermarkets plc where he has spent the last eight
years as Director of Petrol Retail. In this role he was
responsible for the second largest by volume supermarket service
station network and the fifth largest of all petrol retail chains in
the UK, including oil companies. Under Phil’s leadership
Morrisons’ service station network has, over the last two years,
consistently demonstrated market leading like-for-like volume growth.
Prior to Morrisons, he was National Operations Manager for petrol
retail at ASDA Group plc.
Brulines aims to become the market leader in the UK, and beyond, for
the provision of telemetry, data management analysis, software and
support services across the leisure, vending and petrol forecourt
sectors, where there is considerable overlap and the opportunity exists
to become a ‘one stop shop’ provider for customers. As part of
its strategy to grow Edensure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brulines
which was purchased in October 2008, the Group will develop new
solutions and seek to develop partnership relationships with global
service station equipment suppliers.
Commenting on the appointment, James Dickson, Chief Executive of
Brulines, said: “I am delighted that Phil identifies with our
vision and is joining the team, bringing an unprecedented wealth of
experience of the forecourt industry, both from a fuel supply and
technological perspective. During his career, he has
consistently delivered industry leading solutions, and proven
particularly adept at developing strong working partnerships with
support companies. Phil’s knowledge and expertise will prove
invaluable to the Group as we continue to expand our leading
proprietary software and footprint into the UK petrol forecourt market
and beyond.”
Phil Maud added: “I am tremendously excited that Brulines is
bringing its experience and vision from the brewing industry to the
forecourt industry. Working alongside Brulines highly talented
team, we can bring cost-effective command and control solutions to all
sectors of the forecourt industry, from the single dealer site to the
largest supermarket and oil company chains, both here in the UK and
overseas."
"I am confident of being able to build on the track record of success
gained at Morrisons where the number of sites almost quadrupled and
like for like volumes rose significantly.”
