UK: ConocoPhillips to Restructure Local Marketing Business

ConocoPhillips Limited has informed its employees and contractors that it is restructuring its UK and Ireland marketing business. The company says that its restructuring plan will help it better reflect the marketplace and improve customer facing activities.
Under the company’s plan, the marketing business will move to two sales channels, national and regional. The channels will have specific back-office customer coordinators to encourage efficient and enhanced customer relations at the head office and also enable better account manager face time. The company will also avail of outsourcing opportunities for order taking and scheduling. “The expectation on customer focus from the provider will be no less than that of our current internal team: An excellent delivery service with superb safety performance,” said a company statement.
