BP has started selling the new Nintendo 3DS console in around 100 of its fuel service stations across England, becoming the first non-traditional outlet to stock the console. BP is selling the console, which allows gamers to play games in 3D without glasses, for a recommended retail price of £229.99. It is also stocking games for the console.
The move has been confirmed by Nintendo. Last month, HMV was appointed as the official retailer for the console launch, marking the retailer’s biggest UK launch to date. The Nintendo 3DS went on sale at midnight on 24 March. Sky 3D broadcast a
live comedy and music event, starring rapper Plan B and comedian
Russell Kane, from the VIP launch party.
