BP and the Co-operative Group have extended their existing trading
relationship with the conversion of 45 of the Co-operative Group's petrol
stations to BP.
The move will also see the Co-operative Retail Trading
Group re-sign an additional 40 sites to BP's dealer network for a further five
years.
BP's UK Fuel Operations Manager, Peter Molloy, said
"The agreement not only extends the excellent existing relationship we
currently have with the Co-operative Group, but also allows further expansion
and development of the partnership. The deal represents a key strategic
alliance for both companies which offers a national geographic presence."
The Co-operative Group employs 85,000 people, has 2.5 million members and
over 4,300 retail outlets. The
recent merger of The Co-operative Group and United Co-operatives places
teh Co-op in a new position of strength in the UK market.
