Spain: VTTI to Lease Land for New Terminal

Tank storage company VTTI has agreed to lease land for a new terminal in the Bay of Algeciras at Los Barrios in Spain. Permits permitting, the company plans to build a bulk liquid storage terminal with 550,000 cubic meters of capacity on the plot.
When the facility is complete, the company announced, VTTI’s customers will be able to store products on land serving the local ship fuel market rather than availing of floating storage facilities. A pipeline connecting the terminal to the nearby Compania Logistica de Hidrocarburos (CLH) depot will also allow access to the local Spanish market.
