Spanish oil firm Repsol has published the latest edition of the acclaimed Repsol Guide, a top information resource for tourists and food lovers, with an updated design and content, along with new mobile formats. The guide is available in three print formats – one version for maps, the Route Guide to the best flavours and a new Tourism Guide to the Best Restaurants. It is also being published through free applications for Apple’s iPhone and iPad, which have already received over 200,000 downloads. A new app for Nokia smartphones has been rolled out.
Repsol’s Chairman, Antonio Brufau, presented the Repsol Guide 2012 at Madrid’s first indoor drive-in theatre. Top chefs Josean Alija, Ricard Camarena and Ramón Freixa were awarded three prestigious Repsol suns for the first time, with their restaurants in Bilbao, Valencia and Madrid joining the top 22 restaurants nationwide.
The Repsol Guide is the only travel guide in Spain to be awarded the Plaque for Tourist Merit, a recognition of its substantial contribution to tourism in the country. The guide is available online with multimedia content at www.guiarepsol.com.
