Slovenia: Petrol Group Records Rise in Gross Profit

Petrol Group said its consolidated gross profit increased last year by
21% against 2007 to €285 million , due to a 40% increase in net sales
to €2.9 billion.
Petrol Group operates a service station network of 425 in
Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia and Serbia. Petrol plans to carry on
with expansion plans with a target close to 450 service stations
by the enn dof this year. , Petrol forecast net profit of €36
million for 2009.
The group's net operating profit in 2008 was 38% higher year-on-year,
at €70m. The gross profit of the group's fuel retail unit alone rose
15% to 222 million euros and its operating profit increased 52% to 57.1
million euro in 2008. The Petrol Group sold 2.5 million tones of
oil products in 2008, up 19% from 2007.
