Murco who took over four former Shell service stations had Indigo
install new EPoS hardware and software sucessfully in one 13 hour
overnight project on 17th February 2010
The implementation of this project in Scotland was completed by two
teams; firstly the hardware team entered the first site at 4.30pm to
install the Toshiba A10 based EPOS solution and DOMS site controller,
this was followed by the software team installing and testing Indigo’s
INSTORE till software and INCONTROL back office solution.
The two single lane sites and two twin lane sites we’re completed by
5.30am the following morning, allowing all four sites to trade. Training and hand-holding took place for all sites on the Thursday and
Friday.
With Indigo’s PCI ready solutions installed in over 60 Murco filling
stations in the UK, Umar Bajwa, Murco’s Manager UK Networks was
confident of the technology but did test Indigo’s project management
and implementation skills ‘Installing four sites overnight was a tall
order for Indigo and their swift and professional management of this
project enabled all four sites to start trading within 13 hours of the
takeover and we are absolutely delighted with the results Indigo
achieved.’
Indigo’s Managing Director, Baljit Tank, adds ‘this successful project
is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our
implementation team and is also a tribute to the close working
relationship we have with Murco.’
