Scotland: Independent Jet Brand Dealer Acquired by Murco

Brownwight & Wall, the successful Scottish independent petrol and
c-store operator has been acquired by Murco Petroleum headquarted in St
Albans, north of London.
This is Murco Petroleum first move into the Scottish petrol and c-store market with the purchase of seven service stations from the group dealer Brownwight & Wall.
The Jet-branded service stations are all in the West Lothian and Falkirk areas and Murco said it is on the lookout for "further network growth opportunities throughout the UK".
Murco has a very successful alliance with the Costcutter in 1996 that has resulted in the major growth of the ‘shopping experience’ on Murco service stations. Costcutter c-stores is present on over 70% of the company owned stations in either a full supermarket format or in the smaller ‘Express’ format.
