TNK-BP has marked 15 years since opening its first fuel service station in Russia, and the fifth anniversary of the BP Ultimate Fuel concept. The company has an extensive retail network in Russia and the Ukraine, with roughly 1,400 fuel service stations operating under the TNK and BP brands.
Olexandr Nesterov, Vice President of Marketing, confirmed that the country planned to continue its growth. We are proud to have held on to our leading position on the Russian fuels market for many years now. In the next three years we're planning to build another 50 service stations both in our current markets - Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow, Leningrad and Tver Regions - as well as in new areas for us - the Smolensk, Novgorod and Rostov Regions and Krasnodar Territory,” he said.
TNK-BP is also developing a pilot project to create highway fuel service stations to meet modern European standards.
