Russia: Magnit Announces Trading Update

Magnit has announce its unaudited results for the eleven months of 2008.
During the eleven month 2008 period, Magnit opened 280 stores of
which 271 were convenience stores. The other nine were 9
hypermarkets and this gives its total store base 2,477 stores at
the end of November.
Preliminary consolidated unaudited net retail revenue increased
by 41.65% in ruble terms compared to the eleven month period of
2007. This stood at 116,776.81 million rubles. Net retail sales
in dollars increased by 48.10% Year on Year and stood at US$ 4,756.36
million.
