PKN Orlen has reaffirmed its position that its Lithuanian refinery is not for sale.
"We are not in talks on the sale of Mazeikiu Nafta (Orlen Lietuva)
with Russians or anybody else," Dawid Piekarz, a spokesman for PKN,
told media and news agencies. Poland's treasury ministry will not
stand in the way if PKN decides to sell the Lithuanian refinery, the
official was quoted as saying. PKN bought the Mazeikiu Nafta
refinery in 2006, but it has suffered from low profitability due to
problems with oil supply, as it had to switch to seaborne deliveries
after pipeline supplies were cut off.
