MOL and ENI Agreement on Service Station Network Asset Swap

MOL Hungary and ENI oil companies have signed an agreement for the
sale & purchase of service station networks in Romania and Austria.
Under this agreement, MOL is selling ten petrol stations it owns in
Romania to Agip – the distribution network of the ENI group and MOL is
acquiring 26 petrol stations in Austria, according to a press release
by MOL Romania, quoted by Agerpres. The aim of the deal is to optimize
the presence of the two oil companies on the respective Austrian and
Romanian markets and to improve MOL and ENI’s respective retail
operations.
As soon as the agreement takes effect, MOL will be operating 73 service
stations in Austria, 121 in Romania and ENI with the AGIP brand
will run 158 stations in Austria and 37 in Romania.
