Ireland: Pumps and Fuel Installations Employed for Key Motorway Project

Pumps and Fuel Installations Limited, headquartered in Belfast, have
been awarded the National Roads Authority Motorway Project to supply
and install the key service station equipment on stage one of the
current construction sites.
The contract relates to six new Motorway Service Areas (MSA) and
Truck Stops currently under construction on the M1 and M4 motorways at
Castlebellingham and Lusk on the M1 motorway between Dublin and Dundalk
plus the Enfield motorway service area which is on the M4 west of
Dublin.
Kevin Wright of Pumps & Fuel Installation said "We are absolutely
delighted to win this contract and are looking forward to commencing
work on site in January 2010". Pumps and Fuel Installations also
outlined the key equipment being employed.
The general retail service station of the MSA will inlcude 30 X 40,000
litre Cookson Zinn underground double skinned fuel storage tanks and 56
Dresser Wayne Global Star 6 hose stage 2 vapour recovery equipped pumps
incorporating the latest metering technology and Automatic Temperature
Compensation. The fuel dispensers will incorporate Torex
outdoor card payment systems. The non retail or ‘Truck Stop” area
of the MSA will incllude 30 X 40,000 litre underground double skinned
Cookson Zinn storage tanks, 48 Dresser Wayne Global Star multi hose
dispensers with derv, gas oil and Adblu will be installed with MCS card
readers in the truck stops.
