Codax, one of the leading developers of token-free control systems for
car wash and associated ancillary equipment, is working with
Environmental Compaction Systems (ECS) to assist householders across
Ireland recycle at specially equipped fuel service stations.
Environmental Compaction Systems (ECS), based in County Wexford, South East corner of Ireland; is integrating self-service payment technology, developed by PSD Codax, with its pay-as-you-use waste disposal units. ECS designs and manufactures a range of waste handling equipment and has compaction units situated on garage forecourts and other sites across the Republic of Ireland.
The Codax self-service kiosk allows customers to purchase a unique access code to dispose of their bagged domestic waste, rather than queuing to pay. They then key the code into a Codax touchpad on the waste compaction unit to bin their rubbish.
ECS is in discussions with major retailers about introducing its pay-as-you-use waste compaction units into the service station network in Europe.
