Unmanned card-operated fuel distribution station has been opened on the Aran Islands in the west of Ireland.
Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Éamon Ó Cuív
opened the fuel distribution station and recycling centre on Inis Mór
last week. Also on hand was Pat Gill, Sales Manager and John Gaughan,
Regional Manager West from Top Oil.
The station has been named Breosla Arann(Gaelic) and is operated in
conjunction with Top Oil. A quarter of a million euro grant was made available by
the Department of Gaeltacht Affairs and ensure the site used the latest technology required.
It provides green and white diesel and home heating oil to islanders with the provision for biofuels in the future.
