BP is set to open a service centre in Budapest which will ultimately
employ 1000 people, state news agency MTI quoted Economy Minster Gordon
Bajnai as saying this week.
BP, which currently employs 70 people in Hungary, plans to use the
centre to coordinate business and financial relations with its clients,
MTI reported, quoting the chief of BP's refining and marketing arm,
Richard Hookway. The centre will commence operations in the second half
of 2009 and build up to full capacity over four years.
