Greece: Development Ministry to Instigate Petrol Retail Inspections

In the background of high rising fuel prices, the Greek Development
Ministry has ordered inspections of the petrol retail network aimed to
allay consumer fears as well as maintain confidence in the fuel
distribution and retail network.
Despite drop in world oil prices, fuel prices remain high particularly in rural areas. Development Minister, Hristos Folias is scheduled to meet with representatives of oil refineries and petrol stations in efforts to convince them to maintain standards and restrict abuse of the rising fuel prices.
