Germany: Shell & Postbank Create Debit Card Agreement

The German post office subsidary Deutsche Postbank and Shell Germany have created a co-operation agreement.
This co-operation agreement effective in mid-2009, will enable Deutsche Postbank debit card holders to pay and draw cash, free of charge, at around 1,300 Shell fuel stations across Germany. The agreement is said to assist Deutsche Postbank provide its five million debit card customers access to cash across Germany.
Transactions are expected to be made possible using cash recycling technology, where ordinary cash boxes at Shell stations will double as teller machines and accept payments made by customers.
