OMV AG said it plans
to focus its German retail activities in South Germany and sell
60 of its 400 petrol stations in Germany by the end of 2008 as part of its reorganisation programme.
The 60 petrol stations to be sold are dotted across the central
German states of Thurigia and Saxony and cannot be directly supplied by
its own refinery, OMV said.
OMV Deutschland GmbH plans to sell its
heating oil unit OMV Bayern GmbH by the end of 2008, in order to
simplify its heating oil operations in the region, which going forward
will be marketed exclusively via partners.
