Georgia SOCAR opens its 81st gas station in Georgia

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commissioned its 81st fuel service station in Georgia, based in the Urbnisi village near the town of Gori. The station was opened in a ceremony attended by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Azer Huseyn, and Mahir Mammadov, Director of the SOCAR representative office in Georgia.
SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, which sells Azerbaijani oil products, began activity in 2006 and is a fully owned subsidiary of SOCAR. SOCAR also has a retail network in Azerbaijan and the Ukraine, and is working to establish a network of fuel service stations in Romania.
