Norbert Dentressangle will manage the French supply chain flows for Tokheim UK following an agreement between the two companies.
Logistics firm Norbert Dentressangle will transport finished products from Tokheim’s manufacturing facility in Dundee to its plant in Grentheville, France. It will also collect components from Tokheim's supplier in St Vigor de Monts before making the return journey to Dundee.
"Norbert Dentressangle has provided us with a tailored solution that enables us to move finished product from our Dundee site quickly, and an onsite trailer to free up factory space. Load optimisation combined with the company's capability to provide additional vehicle collections has cut our inbound costs and provides us with the flexibility to increase order volumes when required," said Gordon Hume, Materials Manager for Tokheim UK, explaining the decision to select Norbert Dentressangle as a supplier.
The Tokheim group, a global manufacturer of fuel dispensing equipment and provider of support services for fuel service stations, delivers a range of fuel dispensers and pumps, retail automation systems, payment terminals, media devices, replacement parts and upgrade kits worldwide. The company, which reports global sales worth €590m, will be represented at the upcoming PetrolWorld APAC Business forum in Goa between February 22 and 24. The event, which takes place at the Intercontinental Hotel and Golf Resort in the province, offers both solutions providers and oil firms the opportunity to network and develop new business in a relaxed environment.
