Denmark: BBS to Acquire Sagem Denmark

Norway-based electronic ID and payment services provider BBS is to acquire Sagem Denmark and Sagem Manison Finland, two of French electronic payment services provider Ingenico's divisions.

Following the transaction in cash, BBS is to expand presence in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Sagem Denmark operates in three main business areas, including encrypting PIN pads for the ATM market; POS terminals for the retail industry and unattended payment services for petrol stations, ticket vending, kiosks and parking venues.

Sagem Manison develops services for the electronic payment in POS environment, with payment terminals and software, chip card readers, portable vending and payment terminals among its product range. The financial details of the transaction, which is expected to take place in the next two months, have not been disclosed.
