Croatia: Lukoil to Spend us$70m on Fuel Distribution & Retail Expansion

Lukoil has announced that the company is investing us$70 million dollars in the Croatian market.
Lukoil is planning on buying 150 petrol stations in Croatia and an
oil terminal in the Adriatic and are planning to become a serious
competition for Croatia’s oil company Ina owned by MOL. Lukoil’s
objective is to become the number teo player by 2010 in Croatia.
Lukoil owns a terminal on the Danube near Vukovar and 14 service
stations they bought from the company Europa-Mil. It is speculated that
the company will become second largest in Croatia by purchasing small
companies, such as Tifon.
