Bulgaria: Retail of Biofuels to Start Early 2009

According to local media Petrol AD is reportedly awaiting for clarification on regulations  over the mandatory 5% biofuel blend.  The company's executive director, Svetoslav Yordanov, said that Petrol AD is planning to renovate some of its existing sites in line with technical and ecological requirements. 

Petrol AD has built up a dealer network of  161 service stations and has set to reach a target of 200.  This will  represent about half its service station network.    The company is also in the process of shedding rural unprofitable sites.
