Russian State-owned oil firm Gazprom plans to enter the Bulgarian fuel market, buying 20 fuel service stations in the country through Serbian subsidiary Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS). According to NIS Deputy General Director, Nikolas Petri the new stations will be established as part of a general expansion across the Balkans, including a presence in romania.
In the coming two years, NIS plans to establish 80 fuel service stations across the country. Gazprom owns 50% of NIS, which controls one of Serbia’s oil refineries.
