Tatneft has said that it is planning to build a network of 30 service stations in Belarus by the close of 2010.
As part of the framework for implementing these plans, the
Tolochinsky and Dokshitsky districts of Belarus have signed an
agreement with Tatbelnefteprodukt. Tatneft had registered
Tatbelnefteprodukt in Belarus in May 2009 for implementation of the
company's projects in the country. Tatneft is based in Tatarstan, a
federal subject of Russia. Sergei Sidorsky, prime minister of Belarus,
said that Belarus is seeking co-operation with Tatarstan in the oil
sector. Mr Sidorsky said: "We've been doing a lot to make
petrochemical products come both from Tatarstan to Belarus as well as
from Belarus to Tatarstan. This includes rubber, steel cord and other
products."
