This unit
model fulfils the future requirements of the VDA official seal.A success saga continues
on. As of September 1st, 2010, the roll-over wash unit, PRIMUS C150, will
be replaced by a new roll-over wash unit generation, the PRIMUS² C169.
Otto Christ AG not only technically revised this car wash hit; they also integrated roll-over wash unit technology to be seen in the future roll-over wash units of tommorow as well as technological market demands of vehicle manufacturers, vehicle associations and customers.
Upon redesigning this newest machine generation, already tried and true technologies of its sister machine, GENIUS, were also integrated into this unit. The portal frame was taken over from the GENIUS, which has been in operation for over 4 years now. Pivoting side blowers are integrated in the completely newly designed portal foot and dry vehicle sides at up to 1.600 mm in height.
This blower system can be motorically guided on each side of the vehicle 300 mm away from the vehicle's surface. In this way, the air-stream of these blowers optimally reach narrow vehicles. Close-up drying made it possible to reduce motor performance from 4 kW to 3 kW. This reduction in motor performance saves electric energy and considerably increases earned profits per vehicle wash.
An absolute highlight is the side blower extension OPTIVAN. The standard pivoting side blowers can be additionally upgraded with two VAN blowers. Vehicle side surfaces can be completely dried in a machine passage height of 2.800 mm up to a height of 2.600 mm. This blower automatically switches on at vehicle heights > 1.600 mm. The percentage of SUV`s, VAN`s and light trucks continue to grow. This customer group will continue to become of more importance to wash unit operators in the years to come.
The roof blower has been considerably improved. The pivotting area of the roof blower with OPTIAIR has been increased to 170°. Sensitve areas on the vehicle's front and rear are dried even more effectively. A special highlight is the newly developed vehicle class identification from Christ AG. The corresponding vehicle form is recognised via the roof cylinder during the wash sequence and one of the four possible vehicle profiles "stage rear", "station wagon", "hatchback" or "van" is assigned. Depending on the vehicle profile, the roof blower box is pivotted accordingly. This improves drying results as the specific design highlights of that particular vehicle class are accounted for during the drying sequence. A further improvement in comparison to the forerunner model is that the machines control gear is accessible via the access doors from the rear of the unit. This allows for chemical filling to be easily performed - even in narrow bays. All important machine components are made from stainless steel, plastic or aluminum alloys. The portal frame consists of a welded frame construction that is galvanized and pulver layered refined. Optimum quality for long machine life. The wheel wash system can clean rims / wheels up to 21“. Best wash results on all rims is ensured by the special brush form.
The dosing system is standardly equipped with a fill level monitoring system. Intelligent machine control ensures that each vehicle wash is optimally carried out and the unit operator does not have to continuously check the wash agent level. Naturally, the PRIMUS² is also standardly equipped with dry-running protection, ensuring safe and secure unit operation.
The standard side cylinder system OPTIFLEX guarantees best wash results on all vehicle forms. All vehicle areas are reliably cleaned in 2 wash sequences through the pneumatically controlled side cylinder slanted position. For operators that require even more wash peformance, the patented jointed brush device from Christ AG is also available for this unit. Even more protection of the vehicle's surfaces with even better cleaning results. Approximately 90% of Christ customers choose the jointed brush device. The roof cylinder system OPTI5+ creates more wash height. Without increasing the entire height of the wash unit, the wash height was increased by 5 cm by the new roof cylinder system with synchronous shaft. This allows a larger spectrum of higher vehicles especially in sites with a lower hall heights to be addressed. With a maximum passage width of 2.400 mm in the mirror area, a vehicle lane width of 2.050 mm in the area of the wheel guiding tubes and the high-pressure pre-wash systems, this machine easily fulfils the future requirements of the VDA-Official seal. The newest generation of high-pressure supply pumps reduces water and energy employment by 50% with the same pre-cleaning performance. Dosing pumps with lifting and frequency settings are one of a kind. Wash agents can be dosed much more precisely in comparison to dosing pumps with only a frequency setting. Further innovations from Christ AG - operation costs are reduced and profits are increased. This new wash unit earned the seal "GREENLINE" for high efficiency, resource and environmental protection.
Latest machine control is equipped with a frequency converter for lifting and traction drives. Harmonious, calm machine running creates customer trust. Via the integrated internet interface, the PRIMUS² can be connected with little effort to the first-level support system from Otto Christ AG. The newest service terminal is now also equipped with an acoustic customer guidance system. End users are given clear pointers on how to operate the wash unit. This too creates customer trust in easy operation. Clear lines and high plastic panelling gloss impressively underscore the premium character of the PRIMUS². Investors can combine machine panelling with wash material according to their own individual taste while selecting from the extensive colour palette offered by Christ AG. For generations, implementation of each customer's Company CI is standard at Christ AG. Wash time inputs, indication of wash program steps, operation pointers can all be optimally communicated to the end user via the optional running program display. This is even more flexible than statistic indications with pictograms.
Standard equipment such as active foam pre-wash, wax or special wax sealing, rim spray device, high-pressure (rigid or oscillating), under-chassis wash, etc. can be selected via the comprehensive accessory equipment program. The oscillating high-pressure pre-wash system available for over two years now is also available for the PRIMUS². The PRIMUS² is particularly recommended for all wash unit operators with a monthly wash performance of 600 – 1.400 washes. The PRIMUS² is especially recommended for wash operations that want to provide premium and convincing drying results on SUV`s, transporters und VAN`s.
