Automechanika - Otto Christ AG Innovations at the Automechanika 2010

The percentage of SUVs and VANs and light trucks on the road continues to grow. This new customer group places new demands on vehicle washing especially in vehicle side drying. 

Until now, portal wash units were only capable of drying the sides of vehicles measuring between 1.600 mm and maximum 1.800 mm in height. Upper vehicle side surfaces weren't dried!

In addition to its two pivotting side blowers, the new roll-over wash unit PRIMUS is additionally equipped with two side blowers that dry upper vehicle side surfaces.
These additional blowers are automatically switched on depending on the scanned vehicle height.

Close-up drying made it possible to reduce motor performance from 2 x 4 kW to 2 x 3 kW. Less power consumption for an even more environmentally friendly car wash.

Now these oversized vehicles can also be completely dried just like passenger vehicles.

Problem-free, automatic car washing of these vehicles is now possible. Automatic car washing is an active contribution in preserving our environment.



Hand washing entails:


- Water employment of mininum 4x as much (no water recycling unit).


- Chemical cleaning agents are employed uncontrolled.


- Increased time and cost effort (personnel employment).
