Can be equipped and run to meet requirements
Kärcher is launching an entirely newly developed gantry wash for commercial vehicles on the market. A particular highlight is its great flexibility. The basic system can be individually fitted out from an extensive range of equipment, and wash programmes can be coordinated to match the operator’s requirements. The TB is also adaptable as regards integration into existing wash facilities because both height and width are adjustable.
A new control system enables the operator to supplement the basic wash programmes for all common types of vehicle, including trucks with and without trailers, small articulated trucks or buses, with any additional programmes they require, such as foam pre-cleaning. To cater as well as possible for different vehicle contours, additional mirror, tail-lift and spoiler programmes are also available. Possibilities for equipping the wash to meet individual requirements include all-round high pressure with a swivelling roof beam and an optional pre-spray attachment for intensive pre-cleaning.
The TB comes in four washing heights ranging from 3.60 to 5.05 metres. As each can be varied by up to 30 cm, they can be installed in existing hangars at no great effort or expense. The control box is protected, yet easy to access in the left-hand portal column. Cleaning agents, dosing pumps and the water distributor are on the right.
The side brushes, which like the roof brush come in dirt-resistant grey and black, are simply stowed on the upper frame of the plant. Unlike double-mounted side brushes, this gives them the necessary play to cover the middle of the vehicle completely and for the two mirror programmes for buses and trucks. The frequency-controlled drive and hoist motors and the precisely regulated electronic controls ensure a quiet washing process.
The TB’s technology is modular in design and geared to durability. The low-maintenance drives, bearings and guides, for example, need no oil or grease. All steel parts are galvanised and, if required, powder-coated. Doors, cladding and guide rails, components that continually come into contact with water and cleaning agents, are made of especially high-grade plastic or stainless steel.
The TB can increase vehicle throughput by up to 10% compared with earlier models, while reducing water and energy consumption at the same rate. That saves both operating costs and natural resources.
