OMV announced this week that it planned to sell about 100 service
stations in Austria to optimise costs and efficiency.
The company said in a statement it expected to conclude the
sale of 100 of its current 559 filling stations by the end of
2008.
"The strategy of OMV in the currently increasingly
competitive petrol station market is to stress quality and
convenience and strengthen and expand premium locations and the
Viva brand," it said.
