USA: Subway to Continue Mama DeLuca’s Pizza Partnership

Fast food chain Subway will continue its partnership with Mama DeLuca's Pizza, with which it currently co-locates in many areas. The retention confirms that the chain is to continue to explore the made-to-order segment of the fast food industry, a trend that has become increasing popular in recent years.
Mama DeLuca's pizza began cooking their pizzas in front of customers two years ago, an aspect of their business they have since refined in terms of cost, investment and efficiency, says Timothy Price, the company's brand manager.
Customers at the franchise enjoy a similar set up to Subway next door, choosing their toppings and size options without being required to consult a menu. Another feature "Take or Bake" lets the customer choose whether they want their pizza baked in-store or whether they would rather take it home and cook it themselves.
