Japanese retailer FamilyMart has opened its first store in Indonesia, and says that it will use its renowned hospitality and expertise in developing ready-to-eat meals to develop a large customer base in the new market. Family Mart opened the store in Depok, a suburb of Jakarta, and says that it will stock around 2,700 different items in the store.
The company, which has operated in foreign markets for the past 20 years, revealed that it has enlisted the help of wholesaler and manufacturer Fahar Mitra Indah to help supply goods to its store.
FamilyMart says it will sell a range of non-food items, processed foods, sandwiches, desserts and more.
