A Pacific Airlines official says some 30 domestic flights were
delayed in Vietnam for several hours after a company hired to fuel the
planes refused to work following a dispute over fuel pumping fees.
Airline
general director Luong Hoai Nam says service resumed only after
intervention by Transport Minister Ho Nghia Dung.
Nam says about 5000 passengers were delayed two to three hours following the service disruption.
Local media reports that Air Petroleum Company, (Vinapco),
briefly refused to fuel Pacific Airlines' aircraft after the airline
did not agree to pay an additional US$10 for each ton pumped.
