The Finance Ministry of Vietnam has approved fuel price increase on April 2nd.
Petrolimex and the Mekong Petro companies added VND 500 more per
litre to their retail petrol prices on April 3rd. A92 petrol
prices now stand at VND 11,500 per litre. The Ministry said that the
price rise in gasoline was approved in order to keep pace with the
world’s price rise in petrol products. At present, prices for A92
petrol are being sold at US$ 59.54 a barrel, which inflicted a VND 100
loss a litre on Vietnamese petrol companies.
