Thailand: PTT to Invest us$7.4bn to 2014

PTT Plc would invest Bt243.5 billion during 2010-2014, with 92 per cent
of total earmarked for natural gas business and joint ventures.
In a statement, PTT president and CEO Prasert Bunsumpun also said
that during the 5-year period, it would seek loans worth Bt80 billion
for working capital and debt refinancing. "The board of directors has
also approved PTT to submit the five years additional external fund
raising plan amount of Baht 80,000 million for approval in 2010 annual
general meeting of shareholders," he said in the statement.
Of total investment of Bt243.5 billion, PTT alone would invest 46 per
cent or over Bt100 billion each in natural gas and joint ventures. Four
per cent each would be allocated to the oil business and others. Most
of PTT's investment are in gas business, major projects of which
comprise of the fourth onshore natural gas pipeline and the
construction of NGV stations.
The projects of PTT's investment in joint venture are the investment in
PTT LNG Co Ltd, PTT Green Energy Pte Ltd, and investment in
international energy business.
