17 fuel storage facilities in Sri Lanka will be converted to fuel service stations by ministerial order. The country’s Petroleum Minister, Susil Premajayantha (pictured), has directed officials from Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) to make the conversion following representations from 30 storage facility owners.
The new stations will be set up in the Eastern, North Central, North Western, Central and Southern Provinces. CPC’s marketing division is currently adding new functions to the sites, which previously stored both diesel and kerosene, including petrol storage and pumping facilities.
